Deceased united with the Church of the Brethren, February 27, 1915, and lived true to his Master until the end of his short pilgrimage. Francis had been in poor health for some time before his death and suffered much but bore his affliction with great patience. He was a quiet and steady young man and will be greatly missed by the family and those who knew him best. All was done that could be by administration of loving hands, but the summons came and thus ended in this world, the bright prospective life of the departed. Funeral services were held in the Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. J. F. Burton, assisted Rev. W. H Wheeler of Marshalltown. Interment in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
