A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1994, in the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Aichele died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Oct. 6. He was 28.
He was born May 17, 1966, in Portland and graduated from Sunset High School. Mr. Aichele took courses at Portland State University and Portland Community College. A Portland police officer, he graduated from the Police Academy in 1989.
Survivors are his son, David Patrick; mother and stepfather, Mary and Harvey Helfenstein of Tigard; father and stepmother, Rob and Marie Aichele of Portland; brothers, Robert Henry of Vancouver, Wash., and Thomas W. of Portland; and grandparents, Mary and Henry Dehen of Beaverton.
Disposition by cremation. Remembrances: Powell Police Activity Association or David Patrick Aichele trust fund at any U.S. Bank. Arrangements: Caldwell Colonial Chapel.
