Graduated Knox College, B.S., 1923; during the summers he was involved with the U.S. boundary commission which fixed the boundary line between the U.S. and Canada in the Glacier Park region. U.S. Army WWII Vet, 1st Lt; married Margaret Ives - divorced.

Henry Ferris Arnold Jr., a native of Galesburg, died Dec. 16 at Laguna Beach, Calif. Mr. Arnold was graduated from Knox College in the Class of 1923. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi. For many years he lived in Hollywood, Calif., where he handled public relations for various moving picture companies. In 1942, he enlisted in the Army and was assigned to the tank corps. He trained at Ft. Knox, Ky., and was made a lieutenant and was sent to Europe in the spring of 1944. He served there with the forces of Gen. Patton until he was wounded during the advance in the Saar and was hospitalized in England. After the surrender of Germany he was returned to duty and was posted to Germany until his return to this country at the end of 1947 when he was discharged. He was buried with full military honors in Ft. Rosecrans, San Diego, Calif.
Mr. Arnold had been living about 10 years in Laguna Beach, where he had been engaged in real estate sales. He was recently associated with an air-conditioning company in which he had an interest. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Tom Rosser of Camarllo, Calif.; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Percival White of Pound Ridge, N.Y.
