Joseph Breeden, 78, Laclede, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling. Visitation will begin at noon Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 that evening at the funeral home.
Memorials to Samaritan Dialysis, Macon, may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Mo. 64601.
He was born May 1, 1930, in Livingston County, son of James Everett and Lydia Olenena (Cisco) Breeden. He married Betty Constant, March 19, 1971, in Blue Mound.
Joseph worked as a truck driver and an animal control officer.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Lisa Breeden, Brookfield, Bryan and Sandy Bennett, Chillicothe, and James and Tammy Breeden, Breckenridge; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jodie and Kenneth Harper, Laclede, Mary and Robbie Taylor, Chillicothe, and Caryoln Vo, Breckenridge; one brother, Harold Breeden, Tennessee; one sister, Georgie Schmidt, Waverly; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Ronnie; one brother, William Breeden; and three sisters, Lois Graves, Jane Venneman, and Louise Wilson.
