Burnsville, N.C. - Ruby Blalock Smith, 86, of Cane River, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Pearl Harris Blalock.
Ruby was a faithful member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Dick Westbrook will officiate.
Burial will be in the Carroway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
