Mrs. Pridemore was born in Hawkins County on Oct. 17, 1911, and is the daughter of the late Joe and Ella Luster.
She is the widow of Dan Pridemore, and they lived most of their lives together on a farm in Baileyton. From Baileyton, Mrs. Pridemore moved to the Rheatown community until she moved in with her son and daughter-in-law, John and Sylvia Pridemore, in Afton.
Mrs. Pridemore attended a United Methodist Church when she was able, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Paul and Ruby Pridemore, Ruth and Harry Jones, G.W. and Kitty Pridemore, Grover and Lucille Pridemore, Georgia and Ronald Hopson, Mrs. Ray (Marie) Cox, Frank Pridemore, Mrs. Mark (Helen) Morgan, Kenneth and Doris Pridemore, John and Sylvia Pridemore, and Don Pridemore; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Herschel Childress, and a special niece, Shirley Bennett; two sisters-in-law: Jeanette Pridemore and Hilda Pridemore; and special friends: Edris and Anna Belle Neal.
She was preceded in death by two sons: James Pridemore and D.H. Pridemore Jr.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens, with the Rev. Oscar McAmis officiating.
Interment will follow in Doty Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Buster Morgan, John Hopson, Andy Morgan, Michael Tweed, Wayne Pridemore and Ricky Malone.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, her special friends, the staff of Laughlin Home Health Care, the 4th Floor Nurses of Laughlin Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Joe Scott.
