Jonnie Crawley Prillaman, age 78, of 305 Bernard Road, passed away on Friday,
November 6, 1992 in the Franklin Memorial Hospital, Rocky Mount, Va. He was born
in Henry, Va. on December 17, 1913. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Peter James and Winnie Thornton Prillaman; one sister, Verlie P. Kitson; four
brothers, Russell Prillaman, Harmon Prillaman, Booker Prillaman and Orville
Prillaman. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Gay Prillaman of the home; two
sisters, Miss Annie Prillaman and Mrs. Aileen P. Looney of Collinsville, Va. He
was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 34 years of
service. He was a Veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater
Operation. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m.
at Riverview Cemetery with Dr. Darden Battle officiating in Charlottesville, Va.
Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, Va. on Saturday, November 7
from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the
charity of their choice or the Franklin County Rescue Squad.
