Wichita Carpenter Dies Wednesday
LeRoy W. Weed, 82, of 406 1/2 East Douglas, died Wednesday morning.
Born Feb. 22, 1871, in New York City, Mr. Weed had been a resident of Wichita for 22 years, coming here from Indianapolis, Ind. He was married to Lulu L. Collier June 2, 1894, in Orleans, Mich.
He was employed by the Great Northern and Northern Pacific railroads of Canada and was a carpenter in his later years.
Mr. Weed was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by his widow; two brothers, Eugene Weed, of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Bernard Weed, of Retsil, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. Laura Howard, of Los Angeles, Calif.
Services will be held in Cochran mortuary chapel Friday at 11 a. m. Rev. W. E. McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.
