Louise A. Aungst, 87, Altoona, died Friday at Altoona Regional Health System, Bon Secours Hospital Campus. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Paul and Ella (Maher) Conrad. She married Blair I. Aungst, who died in 1981. Surviving are a son, Joseph I. Aungst and wife, Beverly, Lakemont; a daughter, Rebecca Aungst, Altoona; two grandchildren: Joseph I. Aungst Jr. and Natalie Smith; two gr. grandchildren: Dustin Smith and Jillian Smith; a sister, Marian Loudon, Auburn, N.Y. Predeceased by brothers: David, Paul, Joe, William and John Conrad; and sisters: Hilda Garrity, Sister Mary Anthony (Alice Conrad), Mary Bowers, Sue Cassidy and Margaret Hooper. Member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont. Mrs. Aungst retired in 1981 from the coating room/cafeteria of GTE/Sylvania with 30 years of service.
