Aloway Rites Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Joseph Marion Aloway, 109 East Penn. retired railway clerk who died Saturday, were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wilson funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Lewis, Chandler, officiating.
Burial was in El Reno cemetery under the direction of Wilson funeral home. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion.
Born April 5, 1896 in Shook, Mo., he came to El Reno from Shawnee in 1942.
Mr. Aloway was a veteran of World War I, a member of VFW and was past commander of the American Legion post. He, was also a member of El Reno Masonic lodge and Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
Survivors are two brothers, Charles Aloway, Shawnee and Thomas Aloway, Little Rock, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
