June M. McConahy, 88, Altoona, stepped into the Lord's presence Tuesday at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Samuel and Johanna Agnes Bell (Laws) Bressler. She married Charles Robert McConahy June 12, 1942. He preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and James Leach of Bakers Summit, Linda Lawrence and Mark Ruiz of Middletown and Leslie and Jonathan Gibson of Altoona; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Thomas; a brother, Robert; and a sister, Doris Bathhurst. She was a 1939 graduate of Altoona High School. Mrs. McConahy was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church. She was co-owner of McConahy Meat Market, Juniata. Mrs. McConahy was a member of Juniata Civic Center. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to the noon service Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Juniata United Methodist Church, the Rev. Keith Schmuck officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Irvona.
