Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Brandt, 98, were held Saturday morning, October 19 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brunswick. Mrs. Brandt died October 15, 1985, at Chariton Park, Salisbury where she had resided for some time.
She was the former Clara Bertha Manson, daughter of Charles and Evelene Sleyster Manson and was born in Brunswick on November 23, 1886. She was married to Charles H. Brandt on February 10, 1909 and preceded her in death on October 10, 1960.
Mrs. Brandt had lived most of her life-time in Brunswick. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the WPFA Farm Club.
Survivors are four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Herman A. Brandt on July 18, 1974.
The funeral was conducted by a grandson, Rev. Loren H. Trapp and Rev. Paul Boenisch. Pallbearers were Charles, Joe, Henry, L. E. and Paul Manson and Billy Brandt. Burial was in Elliott Grove Cemetery under the direction of McCurry-Berry Funeral Home.
