Mrs. William Byrum

Mrs. Ella May Byrum, 74, of 915 Locust, died Sunday at 7:30 a.m. at Ottumwa Hospital.

The daughter of Herman E. and Violet J. Elarton Schultz, she was born May 24, 1894, near Hillsboro. She had been an Ottumwa resident for 35 years. A member of Wesley United Methodist church, she was a life member of the W.S.C.S. of the church. She also held memberships in the Order of the Eastern Star No. 113; Soical Order of the Beauceant; Daughters of the Nile Netaker Temple No. 11; Gold Star Mothers; American Legion Auxilary; and the Blue Ladies.

Her marriage to Ralph Edwards took place June 10, 1913. He died in 1929. She married William H. Byrum, Feb. 5, 1955, in Ottumwa. He survives.

Also suriving are two sons, Dwight Edwards and Robert Edwards, both of coolidge, Ariz.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, John C. Schulz of Stockport; and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Lee of Salem, Mrs. Grace Hugg of Burlington, and Mrs. Laura Harlan of Omaha. Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.

The body is at Reece Funeral Home.
