Husband of Lavada Philmon Thomas

Mr. Early Broward Thomas of Jena died Tuesday, April 8, 1986, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 81. Mr. Thomas was born in Suwannee County and had lived in Jena for the last eighteen years. He was a retired self-employed landscaper and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife Lavada Philmon Thomas of Jena, seven sons, Renzo Thomas of Dunnellon, Buddy Thomas of Alabama, Willard Thomas of Crystal River, Eugene Thomas of Clearwater, Larry Thomas of Jena, Richard and David Thomas, both of Homosassa Springs, three daughters, Dorothy Phillips of Newberry, Louvenia Hewit of Jena, Clarisse Gainey of Cross City, four sisters, Eula Brookins of Live Oak, Lucille Guilliame of St. Petersburg, May Seymore and Leala Brant, both of Tampa, thirty-eight grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 1986 at 2:00 PM at Jena Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hurst conducting the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Jena, Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City, Florida.
