Elmer "Lee" Leland Blount Jr. of Van Buren passed away in Copperas Cove, Texas, on Friday, May 20, 2005, at the age of 61. Born April 3, 1944, in Kilgore, Texas, to Elmer L. Blount and Brevard L. Biggers, he grew up in Waco, Texas, served three years in the Army and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. He worked for the Social Security Administration in Fort Worth, Cleburne and Fort Smith, retiring in June 2004. He married Diane Davidson in 1983. She preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2004. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nita Clough of Bradenton, Fla. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Epler and her husband Alan and children Austin and Allison of Bentonville and Jennifer Badeaux and her husband Steve of New Orleans; brothers, Mike Blount of Copperas Cove and Larry Blount of Waco; his aunt, Barbara Biggers of Alvin, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas. Obituary submitted by Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.
