Katherine Appleton Bailey, 91, of
Anderson, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Glenwood Rehab and Convalescent Center after a short illness.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Bethel Baptist Church, where friends may visit from 1-3 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Bill Barlow will officiate. Her family will serve as pallbearers
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Alton Bailey.
She is survived by her two daughters, Connie (Glendell) Belue, of Rogersville, and Anita (Jim) Wilcox, of Anderson; four grandchildren, Bradley Belue and Jay Belue, of Rogersville, Darrin Romine, of Athens, and Derrick Romine, of Los Angeles, Calif. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers.
