They are both felt to be buried in Oaklawn Cemetery. Israel's marker is plain to read. It is felt that Martha is buried beside him to his right, as is the tradition when burying wives, I am told. Martha lived quite a bit longer than Israel. She was still living at age 84 at the 1910 Census time (enumerated 18 April of that year). I put down 1910 as Martha's death date, so I can change it when I locate her death certificate again.
The 1900 Census states she was born in May 1825 in West Virginia, but West Virginia didn't exist when Martha was born. She was actually born in Virginia in an area, which is now in Cabel County or Monroe County, West Virginia.
Note: My notes say that Martha was born 18 May 1827 in Virginia. I don't know if that date came from her death certificate. The 1827 conflicts with the 1900 Census, which may or may not be accurate.
