- Mrs. Celia Grainger Altman, wife of Jack J. Altman of Rt. 3, Galivants Ferry, died at her residence at 8:30 p.m. Saturday following an extended illness.

Funeral services will take place from the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. W.R. Barnes and the Rev. Luke King, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery, the day and hour to be announced later.

Mrs. Altman was born in the Baptist Antioch section of Horry County Sept. 23, 1872, a daughter of the of the late Waterman and Nancy Williamson Grainger. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Surviving are: one son, Rep. J.Eugene Altman of Aynore; one daughter, Mrs. Sidney I. Edith Rogers, Charleston; one sister, Miss Sallie Grainger of Aynor; five grandchildren.
