EMILY M. NEWSOME

Salt Lake City - Funeral services for Emily Alenda Madsen Newsome, 68, of 353 Reed Ave. in Salt Lake City, who died of a short illness Friday, Dec. 26, 1975 at her home, will be Tuesday at noon in the 22nd Ward Chapel, 225 West 500 North.
She was born Jan. 14, 1907 in Logan to Niels Andrew and Emma Ash Limar Madsen. She married John Lorenzo Newsome on Dec. 28, 1928 in Gunnison and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 28, 1973.
Mrs. Newsome was active in the LDS Church.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters, John D. Newsome, Mrs. Noel (Marilyn) Lee and Mrs. Hubert (Janice) McCaine, all of Salt Lake City; Ersal N. Newsome and Wayne N. Newsome, both of Los Angeles; and Arvin E. Newsome, Germany; 19 grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters, Paul Madsen, Pleasant Grove; Devine Madsen, Hazend Madsen, MayLen Madsen and Mrs. LeRoy (Della) Downs, all of Murray; Mrs. Lloyd (Elizabeth) Bailey, Mrs. Evan (Ethel) Ashbey, Mrs. Joseph (Leona) DeLynne and Mrs. Hugh (Geniel) Spruill, all of Salt Lake City.
Friends may call tonight at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, from 6 to 8 o'clock and Tuesday at the ward chapel one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Redwood Memorial Estates.
