Justin R. Koch, 73, Altoona, died Sun., Jan. 4, 2009 at Altoona Hospital. He was born in Altoona to Michael J. & Christine R. (Schoch) Koch. He married Carrol A. Sellers July 18, 1959, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Survived by wife; sons: Mark Koch, of New Orleans, LA and Thomas Koch, of Petersburg, NY; daughter, Stephanie Koch & husband, Joseph Guzzo, of Alexandria, VA; 6 grandchildren: Candice Koch, Jessica Koch, Michael Koch, Annalise Guzzo, Justin Guzzo and Estella Koch; and sisters: Lillian Smith, of Princeton, NJ; Phyllis Ciccarella, of Altoona and Lois Lambert, of San Francisco. Predeceased by son, Gregory; brothers: Paul, Kenneth and John; and sisters: Isabell Sneeringer and Edith Cumberland. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mr. Koch retired from SKF USA Inc. with 39 years of service. He was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School. Paratrooper, U.S. Army veteran, 82nd Airborne Div. and also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He also enjoyed flower gardening. Mr. Koch was a member of the Heidelberg Country Club and Central Pa. Guard Veterans Assn. Stevens Mortuary, Altoona. Committal, Calvary Cemetery.
