Carolyn Marie Mendenhall, age 56 of Union City, Ohio, passed away Monday January 5, 2009 at 5:21 PM at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born December 29, 1952 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of Jack & Joanne (Grow) Sharp of Greenville. She was a Registered Nurse for Greenville Schools, Mississinawa Valley Schools, Dr. Elliott, & Dr. Clark. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, & a 1975 graduate of The Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton OH.
She is preceded in death by her 1st Husband: Steve Anderson
She is survived by her parents, Husband: Gregg Mendenhall of Union City, Ohio whom she married November 21, 1980; Sons: Chad Anderson of Marengo, Ohio, Eric Mendenhall of Union City, Ohio; Daughter Rachael Mendenhall & Fiancée Travis Brunk of Perrysburg, Ohio; Brother & Sister in law: Nathan & Karen Sharp of Greenville; Sister & Brother in law: Becky & Jeff Garland of Greenville; Father in law & Mother in Law: Don & Laura Mendenhall of Union City, Ohio; & numerous nieces & nephews.
Services will be held on Friday January 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor David Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday January 8, 2009 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be for a scholarship for Mississinawa Valley nursing students.
