24 Nov 1918- De Havilland Airco DH.9 (D7218) aircraft from 49 Training Depot Station at RAF Catterick, in North Yorkshire, was flying in severe foggy conditions when it crashed at Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire (near County Durham). Two airmen perished in this accident; they were Lieutenant William Henry HALFPENNY and Lieutenant Malcolm William Henry MacKAY.
