A resident of Northwest Washington, D.C., for more than 71 years, Mrs. Young was educated in the Elmwood Public School System in Essex County, VA. She was the fourth child of the late Peter S. & Lottie Carr Bush Young.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley T. Irving; grandchildren, Darryle O. Irving and wife, Leslie A., Cheryl Irving Banks, & Antionette Venessa Irving; great-grandchildren, Terronica D. Irving, Shereka A. Banks, & Alisha D. Banks.
Interment in the Church graveyard followed funeral services conducted Saturday, November 24, 2007.
