Funeral services for Aubrey Berryhill, formerly of Athens, who died December 14 at Las Vegas, New Mexico, were held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.A. Berryhill, 722 North Prairieville.

The services were conducted by the Rev. Marvin Johnson, with burial following in the City Cemetery. The Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Berryhill was born in Navarro county on January 5, 1902, and moved to Athens with his parents in 1924. He lived here most of the time until 1935, and while residing in this county was engaged principally in farming.

Surviving are his parents; two sons, Edward Berryhill, somewhere in the Phillipines, and James Berryhill of Teague; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Quarles of North Carolina; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ammons and Mrs. Lola clay of Houston, Ms. Mamie Fuller of Shreveport. Louisiana, and Mrs. Jewell Carroll of Athens, and several nephews and nieces.
