Joseph Robert Sicheneder, 41, 250 Wright St., Seagrove, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at his home. Mr. Sicheneder was a native of Altoona, Pa. and was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Gulf War. He was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. He loved hunting and fishing, was a member of the Riverside Gun Club, and was an avid guitarist. He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Wright) Sicheneder; parents, Robert and Carol Jo (Pompa) Sicheneder of Altoona, Pa.; sister, Kimberly Jo (Sicheneder) Hofer and her husband, Kenneth, of Duncansville, Pa.; grandmother, Cis Prosperi of Altoona, Pa.; niece, Kayla Quinn Hofer; nephew, Nicholas Joseph Hofer; special cousin, Andrea Marie Auman of Seagrove, N.C.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sammy "Bud" and Wilma Comer Wright of Seagrove, N.C. The family received friends Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, N.C. Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Tony Sedberry officiating.
