Alice retired from AT&T and after retiring, went to work at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont for several years as a Communications Operator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorine Wilson and Golden Birtie Gillispie,Sr.; and her brothers, Golden Birtie Gillispie, Jr. and Edward Leo Peveto.

Survivors include her two daughters, Bethanne Arafat Franco and husband Josue Franco and Rebecca Jean (Becky) Belt and her husband, Dale E. Belt, Sr.; grandchildren, Aleah Stowe and husband Riley, Danyal A. Arafat, Adam N. Arafat, Howard S. Bergeron,Jr. and wife Hillary, Dale E. Belt, Jr. and wife Sunni and Dacia Anne Belt; great-grandchildren, Jackson E. Stowe and Rae Ann McKinney.

Alice knew that three great-grandchildren would be welcomed into her life in 2009 and she was anxiously awaiting their arrivals.
