Dale was born near/at Soda, Tx on the Albert Somers farm as best as can be determined. (Soda, Texas was located on U.S. Highway 190 eighty miles north of Houston in central Polk County. It was first known as Bluff Creek).

Dales dad, Jethro had moved the family from Harris County to Trinity County to try cotton farming near or with Albert Somers. After about a year of this, he moved the family back to Cypress Creek in NW Harris Co. Tx. Dale served our country in the US Army in the Adjutant Generals Office at the end of WW II. He was assigned to Germany for the transfer of the country to the peace-keeping forces. For you non-military types Adjutant means "an assistant who helps the commanding officer issue orders." Jury duty and court-martials, etc.

Note: Above information compiled by the Williams' Clan Historian, Mr. Kenneth W. Williams.
