Glenn M. Jameson, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 27, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 16, 1937, in Ritchie County, a son of the late Clinton J. and Flossie V. Chalfant Jameson. Glenn retired from Walker of Parkersburg, where he was known as "Pops." He enjoyed genealogy, art and bike riding. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Parkersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Inez Stephan Jameson whom he married on Dec. 31, 1959; three daughters, Gabrielle Allen of Davisville, Kristin Walker (Troy) of Washington, W.Va., and Melissa Jameson of Parkersburg; five sons, Timothy Jameson (Crystal) of Ritchie County, Steven Jameson (Melanie) of Waverly, Michael Jameson (Sondra) of Lancaster, Ohio, Richard Jameson (Patricia) of Parkersburg and Adam Jameson (Rosie) of Mapleton, Utah; three sisters, Helen Eddy of Parkersburg, Marjorie Cunningham of Marietta and Grace Cox of Pleasants County, W.Va.; one brother, Howard Jameson of California; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2515 Capital Drive, south Parkersburg, with Bishop Mark Long officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Full military honors at the grave will be conducted by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg.
