Michael Joe Jenkins, age 55 of Joe Jenkins Road in West Liberty, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness.
Michael was born July 31, 1953 in Morgan County, Kentucky, son of Rev. Joe Jenkins & Regina Ison Jenkins.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Hinkle Construction & was a member & minster at Lick Branch Church in West Liberty, Kentucky.
Michael was a devoted Son, Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle & Grandfather to his loving family.
He is survived by his Wife, Janie Blevins Jenkins of West Liberty, Kentucky; his parents, Rev. Joe Jenkins & Regina Ison Jenkins of West Liberty, Kentucky; his two daughters, Dorthea & Ritchie Henry of West Liberty, Kentucky and Sarai Michael & Vaqar Ali of Jacksonville, Florida; his two sisters, Janet Holbrook & Jeanna Cantrell both of West Liberty, Kentucky; his one brother, Marcus Jenkins of West Liberty, Kentucky; his four grandchildren, Laila, Hanna & Aydan Ali & Cheyenne Henry & his two step-grandchildren, Paul & Keisha Henry.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Bro. Ellis Hamilton, Bro. Bobby Jenkins & Bro. Roger Ball officiating.
Interment will follow with burial in the Michael Joe Jenkins Cemetery in West Liberty, Kentucky. Visitation will begin after 6:00 pm Monday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, Kentucky.
