A native of New York, he had lived in the area for the past sixty six years. He was retired from Pure Oil as an accountant and served in the Army, Naval Reserve and the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Lorine R. Gribnau; daughter, Ruth Perryman and husband Walter; sons, Donald Gribnau and wife Julia, Ronnie Gribnau and wife Barbara, and Robert A. Gribnau; seven grandchildren, Brad and Brandon Perryman, Jeremy and Jeffrey Gribnau, Kyle and Donny Gribnau and Amy Austin; five great grandchildren, Brooke, Bailey and Brice Perryman, Alexandra Perryman and Annelise Gribnau; brothers Ralph Gribnau and Bob Gribnau and his wife Monica and numerous nieces and nephews.
