Deanna Jo Cline quietly passed away Sunday afternoon at her home with her beloved pets, Paul Cline, husband and Debbie Cline, sister in law by her side.
Deanna was born in Warren, Ohio on October 11, 1941 and grew up in Williamsfield, Ohio. Deanna moved to New Mexico in 1981. She married Paul Cline in 1986.
Deanna joined Civil Air Patrol in 1985 and attained the rank of Major. She served as Squardon Commander, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, and Communications officer for the Las Cruces Composite Squadron and had taken on the responsiblities of Wing Emergency Services Alerting Officer for the NM Wing shortly before her illness and death. Civil Air Patrol was a large part of her life.
Deanna worked as a bookkeeper/billing clerk for many years for Three Crosses Ambulance, Rural Metro Ambulance Service, MedTrans Ambulance, and United Way.
Deanna is survived by her husband Paul R. Cline of Las Cruces, her son John Garner and his wife Coco of Las Cruces, her grandson Christopher Garner of Las Cruces, her son Joseph Garner of Hobbs, NM, her mother Vivian Barrett of Kinsman, Ohio, and 3 nieces all of Ohio.
She was preceaded in death by her father, Joseph Barrett of Williamsfield, Ohio and her brother Myron Barrett of Kinsman, Ohio.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery 5140 W. Picacho beginning at 1:00pm. A reception will be held after ther services at her home, 217 Cline Rd. #1 to share memories and celebrate her life. Arrangements are with La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home.
