WELL KNOWN FARMER DIES NEAR LONG

Jesse C. Cherry Succumbs to Complication After Two Years Illness

Jesse C. Cherry, 45 years old, a well known farmer of the Long vicinity, this county, died Friday night at 7 o'clock caused from a complication of diseases after an illness of two years.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Cherry's Chapel by the Rev. Sledge and the burial followed in the church graveyard.

Mr. Cherry was born and reared in Warren County and had been actively engaged in farming until his health failed him. He leaves his father, 'Squire Adam Cherry', a widow and eight children, three brothers, Luther J. Cherry, Dr. E. A. Cherry, R. A. Cherry, and three sisters, Mrs. Finis Gildersteed, Mrs. Robert Smith and Miss Mary Cherry, of Morgantown. Mr. Cherry was a Christian and a consistent member of the Methodist Church. He was a highly respected farmer.
