Geraldine S. 'Gerry' Weinzierl, 86, 601 S. Main St., Altoona, died Sunday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, to Charles D. & Anna F. (Rinn) Dugan. She married Harold L. Weinzierl, March 2, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona. Survived by husband; three sons: Thomas G., with whom she and her husband resided, Mel J. and wife, Lori, of Orlando, FL, and Daniel H. and wife, Nancy, of Harrisburg; two daughters: Ann C. Shay of Altoona and Susan M. Lepore and husband, Ernest, of Centreville, VA; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by sisters: Arlene Boose and Anna Mae Gatsche. Mrs. Weinzierl was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Weinzierl enjoyed pinochle. She was a member of the Marian Choir for 30 years, Christian Mothers and Ladies Bowling League, all at St. Mary's. Stevens Mortuary, 1421 Eighth Ave. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 18, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
