Mr. Gonzales was born April 19, 1956 in Boling, Texas to the late Willie Mae (Harrison) and Joe Gonzales, and died Saturday, December 13, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mr. Gonzales resided in Lufkin most of his life and owned Shady Pine Auto Rebuilders. He was a member of Lufkin First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Gonzales of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Christopher and Tracie Gonzales of Diboll and Gabriel and Lindsey Gonzales of Lufkin; daughter, Tara Leighn Nichols of Lufkin; precious granddaughter, Ashley Nichols of Lufkin; wonderful grandchildren, Cole Hodge of Diboll, Kenzie McBroom and Aydan Joseph Christopher Gonzales, all of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Martha Shelton of Tyler; sister, Beverley Gonzalez of Tupelo, Mississippi; adopted sister, Melba White of Lufkin; special aunt, Darlene Perez of Lyford; and numerous other relatives and friends who loved him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Wayne Gonzales; and father-in-law, Bill Shelton.
Pallbearers will be Donald White, Gene Lee, Brandon White, Casey Salagaj, Lee Shelton, Lawrence Purke, Cliff Turgeau, Kenneth Campbell and Teddy Toney, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Hodge, Ronnie Harrison, Billy Attaway, Gene Norton, Jimmy Dixon, Steve Mosley, Jose Angel Perez, Mike Kartye, James Polk, Ron Foy, Larry Lasiter and David Willmon.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
