Obituary:
Emma Lucille Huggins passed away Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2008, at a local nursing home. She was born August 5, 1916, in Cross, Texas, to William Evans and Lura (McHorse) Huggins Sr. She was retired from Exxon with 33 years of service. She enjoyed watching football, crocheting, sewing, and reading.

Ms. Huggins is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Marquart and Pearl Bailey; and one brother, Issac Daniel Huggins. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Stipe, of Baytown; and brother, Bill Huggins and wife, Hope, of Baytown.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 15, 2008, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. following the visitation at Crespo & Jirrels Chapel. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Busby and John Hickman.
