Dee and Doll only had one son, Dallas Collinsworth. He was murdered on July 14, 1941. Dee helped the men locate his son's body. He seemed to be a strong man...but Dee only lived a year and a month after he lost his son. They had lost their only grandchild Thelma in 1936. She only lived to be a year and 11 months old. She died in her mother's arms of possible pneumonia.

There is not a marker for Devander, but he is buried in the NE corner of Magnolia Cemetery next to his son, Dallas Collinsworth.
