Thomas, of Lumberton, passed away at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont.
A resident of the area for fifty-six years, he had retired from Gulf States Utilities in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Stephen Whiddon, his parents, Mamie and Thomas Whiddon, Sr., and his brother James Charles Whiddon.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Nancy Whiddon; sons, Richard Whiddon and his wife Carrie, Terry Whiddon and his wife Linda; daughter, Lisa Lucas and her husband Carlos; seven grandchildren, Danielle Whiddon, Leah Whiddon, Ginger Pelloat, Will Whiddon, Laci Lucas, Tom Lucas and Colby Lucas; two great grandchildren, Destiny Whiddon and Brody Lucas.
