He was a lifelong resident of Silsbee, was a logger, and had served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
Survivors include his sons, Jerry Don Laurent and wife Tammy, David Laurent and wife Kim and Kenneth Laurent; grandchildren, Angel Laurent, Jerry Laurent, and Montana Laurent all of Fred; great grandchildren, Tyler Bergeron and Tate Laurent; sister, Ferrell Crain; and brother, Ray Laurent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Roberta Laurent; son, Calvin Laurent; brothers, Richard Laurent and Buddy Laurent; sisters, Thelma Ussery, Ruth Ward, and Ruby Hughes.
