Constance Aileen Love, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed from this life on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Connie bravely and optimistically fought cancer for over a year. She blessed her family and friends with love, laughter, and an unmatched ability to bring happiness to those around her. Connie was the light of her husband Sid's life as well as her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed serving as Sid's co-pilot in their plane, and she enjoyed traveling the country to visit friends and family. Her humor and warmth will be missed by all that knew her.

Connie was born December 25, 1940 in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Storm Lake, IA. Connie worked for Hertz for many years, and retired from DP Solutions, Inc., in 1997 where she and her husband Sid worked since founding the company in 1988. She celebrated her love for Christ in the Catholic and Episcopal Church, and was a resident of Lufkin for over 35 years.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Bernard (Bud) and Dorothy Elmerna Patee (Pat) Bauer. Connie is survived in life by her loving husband, Sid Love; son and daughter-in-law, Curt and Lauren Strock; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Joe Moninger; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Shellie Love; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kim Love; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Tennessee Love; daughter, Constance Pavolini of Lufkin, TX; grandchildren, Travis Strock, Landon Moninger, Sage Moninger, Gabriel Love, Grace Love, Haley Collins, and Taten Berry, all of Lufkin, TX; mother-in-law, Floriece C. Love of Ft. Myers, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Cherl Bauer of Storm Lake, IA; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carole Bauer of Sioux Falls, SD; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Bernie Wyffels of Blaine, MN; brother and sister-in-law, James and Elizabeth Bauer of Storm Lake, IA; sister-in-law and husband, Judith and Curt Maly of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law and husband, Marty and Steve Callari of Ft. Myers, FL; brother-in-law and wife, William and Vicki Love of Ft. Myers, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Pallbearers will be Bob Love, Mike Love, Bruce Love, Travis Strock, Joe Moninger, Taten Berry, Charlie Free, and Don Lynbery. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Cheeks, Richard Peebler, David Ecker, and Dustin Nichols.

Celebration of life for Connie, 67, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 Tuesday the 9th of December in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin, Texas, with Reverend William J. Slight, M.S., of St. Patrick Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.X Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, with rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Paul Rainville, M.S. officiating.
