Thelma was oldest of four children born to Lester Cornelius and Ada Lee (Kivett) Johnson. She married Charlie Luther Christopher and they were the parents of two children: Eleanor and Chris.

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Thelma J. Christopher, 75, of 1704 Lower Hopedale Road died Saturday, Feb. 12, 1994, at White Oak Manor after several years declining health and one month critical health.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rich & Thompson Chapel, Burlington, by Dr. John Eliason, pastor of Piedmont Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

A native of Randolph County, she is a daughter of the late Lester C. and Ada Kivett Johnson, and wife of Mr. C. Luther Christopher, who survives of the home. She was a retired hosiery employee, and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are husband, Mr. C. Luther Christopher of the home; daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Adkin of Randleman; son, Chris Christopher of Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Boswell of Graham, Mrs. Peggy Hall of Burlington; brother, Mr. John Johnson of Greensboro; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington 7-9 tonight, other times they will be at the residence.
