She was born September 17, 1918 in King City, Missouri, the daughter of George and Bessie (Coffer) Baber.
Eva graduated from King city High School in 1937. She married Virgil Edward Aborn, he preceded her in death in 1974.
After marrying and raising two sons, Eva then began working at the King City phone company as a telephone operator. Later she worked at the King City School as head cook and retired after 35 years of service. Eva soon figured out retirement did not suit her and she then began working at the King City Manor as a caregiver. She was employed there for 17 years until she began residing at the Manor in 2007.
She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of King City. She belonged to the Ruth Circle and was an officer of The Senior Citizen of King City. Eva Mae loved to work in her garden and enjoyed cooking. Her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her. Eva was a devoted wife and mother and a doting grandmother. She will be sadly missed, but her family and friends will have comfort in knowing she had a strong faith in the Lord and that she is at peace.
Survivors include a Son, Virgil Eugene (Faye) Aborn, Lowry City, Missouri; Son, Dean (Sue) Aborn, King City, Missouri; Grandchildren, Monique Sealey, Kevin (Debbie) Aborn, Kelsi (David) Steele, Wesli (Angie) Aborn, Beth (Kenny) McDaniel, Mike (Shanna) Aborn, Debbie (John) Sportsman, 18 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 3 nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by by her husband, parents and brother,James Baber.
