A native of Lafayette Parish he had lived in Port Acres since 1945. He was a member of St. Therese, and retired after thirty four years of service from Gulf as a carpenter.

Survivors include his daughter, Diana Demahy and husband R. J.; grandchildren, Tammy LeBlanc and husband Martin, Rod Demahy; great grandson, Matthew LeBlanc; sisters, Loula Hubbard, Eljie Simpton; brother, Aaron Broussard and wife Rena and many family and friends.
