Services for Willie J. Goar, of Cairo, are 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo. Rev. Willie G. Smiley is pastor and Rev. Phillip Corker will officiate. Interment is in Crestview Cemetery. Active pallbearers are members of Ezekiel Lodge #71. Honorary pallbearers are James Goar, David Myles, Shamane Myles, David Morris, Capt. Dennis F. Williams, Delvin Williams and Jermichael Williams. Mr. Goar was born in Grady County, the son of the late Charlie and Eldora Goar Sr. He was a member of Shiloh #1 M. B. Church. Mr. Goar died Nov. 30, 2008, at Grady General Hospital. Survivors include his daughters, Dorothy Williams (Otis) of Cairo, Helen Myles of Cairo and Betty A. Williams (Dennis) of Cairo; son, David Goar (Jennifer); brothers, Leroy Goar of Patterson, N.J., Charlie Goar (Bernice) of Cairo and Hayward Goar of Cairo; sister-in-law, Panthea Goar of Patterson, N.J.; grandchildren, James Goar, David Myles, Shamane Myles, Capt. Dennis F. Williams (Chimicki), Jermichael Williams, Delvin Williams and David Morris; nine great-grandchildren; special niece, Barbara Hampton of Tallahassee, Fla.; special cousin, Daisy Cross Robinson; special friend, Willie D.
