Born to Y.D. and Nellie (Burns) Drake, he was a lifelong resident of the Kountze area. He was the retired owner of Drake's Drive In in Kountze.
Survivors include his children, Ricky Drake and his wife Donna, Gerry Drake and his wife Kitty and Cindy Smith and her husband Lawrence; sisters, Virginia Safar and Jimmie Lee Ebarb; grandchildren, Josh Drake, Jordan Drake, Trey Drake, Micah Drake, David Drake, Brian Drake, Adam Drake, and Ashley Bloodworth; and numerous great-grandchildren and other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his son Randy Drake.
