Loyd Maurice Phillips 69 of Batson died Sunday November 9,2008 at his residence.
He was born in Dallas Texas on November 8, 1939. He lived in Hull and Batson area most of his life. A man of many talents he was a Drilling consultant, he love his many outdoor toys. He loved fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren. He was a very dedicated father and grandfather.
Loyd is survived by his Wife; Mary Phillips of 38 years, Daughters; Melissa Myers and husband Rickey of Devers, Samantha Pickett and husband Ernie of Hardin. Son; Guy Phillips and wife Dolly of Hull, Sisters; Doris Tousha and husband Chester of Batson, Joan Reynolds and husband Joe of Ore City, Brother; Donald Phillips of Santa Fe. TX Sister-in-law; Linda Phillips of Batson, Brother in law; Jarvis Stovall of Batson. Grandchildren; 17, great-grand children; 10. And a host of many friends' nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today Monday November 10,2008 beginning at 5:00P.M. Until 9:00 P.M at New Life Assembly of God church of Batson. There will be a service of remembrance held also Monday November 10, 2008 beginning at 7:00P.M. At the church.
Memorial contributions maybe made to Habitat for hope 2041 Locke-Cuba Middleton TN. A private committal will take place Tuesday November 11,2008 at Guedry cemetery in Batson.
