MRS. ELIZA J. STIFFLER,

Widow of Sylvanus Stiffler and a life-long resident of Blair county, died this morning at 3.25 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Kirkham on Chestnut street, Duncansville, death being attributed to diseases incident to advanced age.

She was born Feb. 4, 1847, near Yellow Springs, the daughter of Jacob K., and Mrs. Anna Mary Shellenberger, both now deceased. She was united in marriage early in life with Sylvanus Stiffler of Canoe Creek. Her husband was killed in a railroad accident at Lilly on April 15, 1882, while employed as a trainman.

She is survived by four children, W. Harry Stiffler, Mrs. Maud Tate and Mrs. Hulda Kirkham, all of Duncansville, Charles S. Stiffler of Canoe Creek, nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Catherine Suter of Royer, also survives.

Private funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. Kirkham on Chestnut street, Duncansville, Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be made in Carson Valley cemetery.
