Emmett G. Gooch, age 79 of Midland, Michigan, died at his residence on April 12, 2008.
The son of the late Emmett M. and Mary V. (Hull) was born on January 9, 1929 in Pontiac and was raised and educated in Midland.
On September 11, 1946 he married the former Phyllis Inman. She died on January 13, 2008.
Emmett had been employed with Dow Corning, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking.
Mr. Gooch was survived by his children, Diane (Michael) Kelly of San Diego, California, Joe (Teresa) Gooch of Charlotte, Michigan, Patrick (Patty) Gooch of Spring Lake, Michigan, Greg Gooch of Prescott, Arizona, Penny (Harry) Loiselle of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Tim Gooch of Sanford and Laurel (Richard) Fossler of Crystal Lake, Illinois; eighteen grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Janet) Gooch of Frederic, Michigan; many nieces and nephews.
Emmett was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Gooch.
