Mabel E. Elliott, 97
CUMBERLAND - Mabel E. Elliott, 97, of 4135 Big Muskie Drive, Chandlersville, passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Adams Lane Care Center.
Mabel was born Aug. 14, 1909, in Richhill Township. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Louetta Seright Wilson. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, and a member of Chandlersville Senior Citizens and the Presbyterian Women's Club. Mabel was the area wedding photographer, as well as nature and land photographer.
She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Parmiter of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Elliott, who died in 1974; and her brother, Loren Wilson.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the Tom and Farus Funeral Home in Cumberland. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the funeral home in Cumberland with the Rev. Roy Keyser and Phil Walker officiating. Internment will be at Zion Ridge Cemetery.

Note: It has been pointed out to me by Wilson and Seright researchers that Mabel, Herbert and Mabel's parents and grandparents are in Mount Zion Cemetery in Spratt, not in Zion Ridge Cemetery, as is listed in the TR published obit.
