Visitation will be Thursday, November 20, 2008, from 5pm until 8pm at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, Dayton, TX. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008, 2:00PM at Sterling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hardin Chapel Cemetery, Hardin, Texas.
Bobby was born on December 8, 1949 in Liberty, Texas to Wilson Fregia and Alva Beard Fregia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War where he served two tours of duty. During his service to his country Mr. Fregia was wounded and left disabled. He will be remembered fondly for his love of barbecuing, country music, and scratch off tickets. He was a man with a good sense of humor that loved to tell stories. His greatest joy was his family and he loved to spend time with them, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and a half brother Travis Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Ida Faye Fregia, daughters: Tonia Small, Cicely Fregia Allen, son: Bobby Lee Fregia Jr. and wife Lisa, brothers: Joe Fregia and wife Jane, Rocky Fregia and wife Roxie, Wilson Fregia Jr. and wife Barbara, Michael Fregia and wife Linda, sister: Lora Ellis, grandchildren: Dustin, Kaleb, Ashton, Erin, Sydnie, Kaylyn and Grace and several nephews and nieces and other family members, and a host of friends.
