JAMES A. REEDER PASSES AT HOME

James Alexander Reeder, 70, died yesterday afternoon at his residence, 1471
Glover street, following a heart attack.

"Uncle Jimmie," as he was affectionately known by a wide circle of friends, was
a retired city employee. He had been a life-long member of the Second Baptist
Church and was a charter member of the Woodlawn Council, J.O.U.A.M. No. 29. He
had held all offices in the council and for many years was state representative
of the Junior Order.

He is survived by five sons, J. Frank Reeder, Ernest M. Reeder, Tessier E.
Reeder and John A. Reeder of Augusta, and Thomas E. Reeder of Philadelphia;
three daughters, Mrs. Marie Marshall and Mrs. Lucy Taylor of Augusta and Mrs. A.
J. Le Bouef of Washington, D. C.; one brother, J. E. Reeder of Augusta; two
sisters, Mrs. Addie Jones of Columbia, SC, and Mrs. H. H. Johnson of Waco, Tex.;
15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at the Second Baptist church, the time to
be announced later. Interment will follow in Magnolia cemetery.
